75th Annual Nā Hula Festival – August 2nd

This is the oldest running non-competitive Hula event in Hawaii. Check out the culture, fun and moves in Kapiolani Park, just outside of Waikiki.

4th Annual Pacific Ink and Art Expo– August 7th – 9th

The art of tattooing has been a hallmark of Pacific cultures. If you are a fan of tattoo and want to see classic tattoos from Pacific cultures as well as excellent examples of contemporary tattooing, visit the Expo on Oahu!

Obon Dance, Lahiana Hongwangi Mission – August 7th and 8th

These festivals have their roots in Buddhist tradition and take place across the islands. The festivals are a fun events for the entire family and a great way to experience a colorful slice of traditional Japanese culture. Of course many have delicious eats to savor. Paradise Ride Kauai 2015 – August 1st and 2nd

This is an epic 120 mile ride “not race” that lets participants explore some of the most amazing scenery on the island. The ride is a fundraiser for Malama Pono Health Services, and is Kauai’s signature fundraising event for the island’s response to HIV/AIDS.
