Bambu is a six-bedroom, luxury villa with room for 14 guests that rests on eight-and-a-half acres of resplendent property. The villa was originally conceived in the 1960s. Architect Robert Hartley blended Italian Venetian style with the style of the West Indies, resulting in a truly unforgettable creation. A stay at the ocean-view Bambu is made even more beautiful by the panorama of Montego Bay visible from the property. 

The entire villa is connected by a series of walkways supported by arches carved from Jamaican marble. These elegant walkways allow guests to wander from the bedrooms and living areas out to the pool, which is completely encircled by the arched walkway. The circular pool is 45 feet in diameter. It's cool, clear waters are the perfect place to relax beneath the sparkling sun. The pool begins with shallow waters perfect for toddlers and guests with wheelchairs. 

After lounging by the pool, you can explore the lush and extensive grounds at Bambu. Natural stone paths wind through the gardens and lead to small private enclaves. Take a moment alone on a shaded bench, or steal an afternoon of complete tranquility on the brick terrace or open-air den overlooking the cool, blue waters of the Caribbean Sea. You can also indulge in the privacy of a bedroom, complete with an open-air, garden bathtub and shower, down the hill from the main villa. 

The villa's outdoor grandeur is matched by the elegant design of its interior. The Bambu’s entryway has a soaring, 40-foot ceiling. Ascend to the main level of the home by taking the foyer's stone spiral staircase. 

Indoors, the villa has its own fully equipped kitchen, as well as the spacious great room. Gather with your guests under the towering, octagonal ceiling of the great room to take in the 180-degree view of the Caribbean skyline. You can take your meals beneath the outdoor gazebo or beside the waters of a flowing river. 

Sleep in complete comfort in any of the villa's six bedrooms. The master suite includes a grand king-size, four-poster bed, two separate bathrooms decorated with travertine, and an adjoining office and dressing room. Step out onto the suite's private terrace to see the lights of Montego Bay twinkle in the distance. The second bedroom has a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom, and French doors that open directly onto the sweeping poolside terrace. 

Two of the remaining bedrooms could serve as the perfect spot for kids. One, featuring two pairs of bunk beds, is decorated in white and pink. This room connects to another of the villa's bedrooms with a king-size bed, making this the perfect family sleeping arrangement. The other bedroom perfect for kids has to full-size beds. The final bedroom has a queen-size bed. Each one of the villa's bedrooms has its own en-suite bathroom. In addition to the kid-friendly bedrooms, the Bambu has two tree houses and a playhouse, perfect to spark your kids' imaginations. 

The 10,000-square-foot Bambu comes with every amenity you'll need to have a comfortable and unforgettable stay. A full staff, including a chef, butler, housekeepers, gardeners, and a laundress, will keep the villa running smoothly. You will also have access to satellite TV, Apple TV, an Xbox, and Wi-Fi. Air-conditioning cools the entire villa. 

Aside from the beauty and comforts of the villa, membership to the nearby, preeminent Tryall Club is one of the biggest perks of staying at the Bambu. All guests of Bambu must pay a resort entry fee of US$32 per person per day plus a 15% tax to have access to the resort amenities at the Tryall Club. Children 13-15 years of age pay a discounted rate of 50% off plus 15% tax and children 12 & under are complimentary.

After paying the Temporary Membership Fee, members may use most Club facilities at no charge with the exception of the tennis shop, ball boys, bar & restaurant, spa, grocery, motorized water sports, nanny services, and golf.  Complimentary amenities include the beach, non-motorized water sports, tennis, the excellent gym, the Hummingbird Kids Club, Great House afternoon tea, the Manager's Cocktail Party, and various special events.
