Casa Tres Cervezas is
unique, luxury vacation estate located in San Miguel de Allende, GTO, Mexico, and
a UNESCO World Heritage Site recently ranked by Conde Nast as a top travel
Down a narrow cobblestone street lined with tall stucco walls in
shades of saffron, paprika, and turquoise, and through a thick wooden door
- a private world of lavish gardens, colonnaded hallways, quiet courtyards,
rooftop terraces and serene private spaces unfolds. Four
different properties have been combined to create this 8,000 square foot,
one-of-a-kind luxury vacation estate. The owners’ appreciation
for exquisite local and international craft and artisanal detail is seen
in the home’s indoor and outdoor spaces alike – it has taken a team
of artists and designers five years to complete.
Updated with every modern convenience while maintaining the
property’s old world atmosphere, your comfort is assured.
Just two blocks from the historic central square in San Miguel de Allende,
with its 17th and 18th-century buildings and churches, folk-art
filled shops, and sophisticated restaurants and cafes, Casa Tres Cervezas feels a world apart from the hustle and bustle of
Hand-cut Mexican metal and glass lighting with a Moroccan flair throw
romantic sparks of light and shadow onto the arched corridors and
ceilings in a magical display of pattern and brilliance. Cantera stone
walls and columns throughout the property have been hand carved and
sculpted in intricate designs by Mexican craftsmen whose families have
passed their skills on for generations. Domed brick ceilings
called bovedas (a local specialty and a dying art),
architectural art glass by internationally renowned artists, forged iron
gates and railings, custom crafted wooden furniture, carved fireplaces
(six of them!), and colorful concrete and ceramic Mexican tile have all been
artistically incorporated into the home with striking results.
There are numerous large, inviting gathering places, as well as
smaller, intimate seating areas that offer a quiet escape. Central to the
home is a large, stone walled gourmet kitchen equipped with a commercial gas
stove and top-of-the-line appliances. The kitchen can comfortably
seat 8-12 for family-style meals. A chef who specializes in traditional
Mexican cuisine, but with a modern twist, comes with the property – head
out to the “lanai” courtyard across from the kitchen with a plate of her huevos rancheros and relax
in the lavish shaded gardens while you breakfast.
Another kitchen with a bar and a grill is upstairs on the rooftop terrace,
and it’s the perfect place to retreat around sunset with a
drink. Gaze out across the koi pond and fountain to watch the
sunset against the rooftops of this 500-year-old colonial city –
your view of the sky is dominated by the fanciful spires of San
Miguel’s La Paroquia cathedral that soar above the other churches, domes,
and rooftops terraces against a distant backdrop of mountain
Each of the nine uniquely designed bedrooms offers the finest in
comfort, with king or queen-sized beds, fine linens and towels, and
iPod docking stations. Six bedrooms have en-suite
bathrooms, and the other two bedrooms share a bathroom. In addition,
the property has two other bathrooms. One of the four master
suites includes its own spacious loft area housing an additional
queen-sized bed, making it perfect for a family of four.
The dining and adjacent living room with its stone walls, boveda
ceiling and floor to ceiling windows looking out at the courtyard is elegantly
and comfortably furnished. At 6,200 feet, San Miguel has near
perfect weather, but on a cool evening light the fireplace and dine
in its warm glow while a spectacular Ula Darni chandelier casts a
rainbow of color overhead. A small downstairs media theater is below
the living/dining room.
The estate’s swimming pool and spa are in their own garden
courtyard enclosed by soaring stone walls carved out of the
local cantera stone and sculpted with a relief of vines and
flowers. A spacious exercise room for yoga, complete with a Yoga Wall
opens out onto the pool courtyard. Relax in a chaise lounge on the
patio, cool off in the pool, or stretch and work out in the yoga room.
Private massage can be arranged in the yoga room with the great massage
therapists from the Laja Spa.
Fully staffed, Casa Tres Cervezas includes an on-site bilingual concierge/house
manager, a private chef, housekeepers, and gardeners. Upon check-in, arrangements can be made with
the manager for world-class amenities and activities. Meals, groceries and
cooking lessons can be arranged with our onsite chef during your stay. The staff is fully prepared
to cater to all of your needs, delivering the ultimate experience in
luxurious San Miguel living. Rental rates include a 15% gratuity for the staff of the villa.
This is one of the most unique and beautiful villas in our collection. Photos and words do not do justice to this villa complex, which offers guests a sprawling, yet intimate, one-of-a-kind respite, in one of the most beautiful and historic cities in Mexico!

wonderful lodgings; excellent staff; great food; perfect location
Our stay at Casa Tres Cervezas exceeded our expectations in every way. I suppose we hadn't fully realized the extent of the service we would receive from both George and Jonnathan. These two gentlemen as well as the entire staff were all very helpful, knowledgeable and professional the entire time, and we enjoyed our time in San Miguel much more because of it. George recommended great restaurants for us to try, help set up babysitters, and also went out of his way to make sure the kids were set up with the latest movies and that they had access to the game room and the pool heated. Breakfast each morning was delicious and offered a wide variety of local fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, pastries, eggs etc. Each room of the property was unique and offered a different flair of Mexico and local artisanry. We hope to return to San Miguel de Allende in the future and would love to be able to return to this gem of a property.

Casa Chiquitos Dos is an oasis that exceeds expectations. This beautifully curated home warmly accommodates large groups while still providing privacy and escape for quieter solo or couple moments. From the comfort and aesthetic charm of the interior details in the individual rooms as well as the common areas to the three different spectacular roof top vistas and lush gardens of the many courtyards in between, Chiquitos Dos is an experience all on its own within San Miguel. The central location of the home is ideal, an easy and short walk to restaurants, cafes, shops, parks, art galleries, etc. The staff is wonderful, they took great care of our large group. The bi-lingual house managers, Jonnathan and George, saw to every accommodation we needed. Our meals prepared at the home were delightful. We also chose to test the patience of our fantastic cook by electing to do the on site cooking class and market tour offered. She, along with our house managers guided our group of varied ages and needs with grace and ease. Our experience was everything we had hoped for and more…it is hard to imagine that there could be a more magical choice in San Miguel. We can't wait to return to Casa Chiquitos Dos.

Wow – The photos I found online do not do justice to this beautiful home. It truly is like having your own 5 star resort! We loved all the fountains, beautiful and comfortable furnishings and flowers everywhere. The Property Manager was amazing and helpful, as was Marluy the chef and the meals she created for us were delicious! We especially loved the fact that there were so many different places to escape within the home and the views from the two rooftop areas were amazing. We were told it took years to create and now we see why. We will absolutely return to Chiquitos Dos as soon as we are able. We absolutely loved this piece of paradise. Thank you to the owners for creating this!
