The kitchen of the home is beautifully designed, with updated appliances and all the materials any chef or caterer could need to prepare fabulous meals for you and your guests.
The bedrooms are situated above the main area of the home. The serene master bedroom offers striking views along with a private, en-suite bathroom, a walk-in closet and a private outdoor balcony overlooking the land. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and also features an en-suite bathroom. The third bedroom is perfect for children or extra guests, with two twin-size beds. The home does have a fourth bedroom, which is utilized as a combination office/playroom.
The Frank Lloyd Wright Residence is gated and situated on a three-acre parcel of land, located between the Big Island’s famed Kohala Coast and the town of Waimea. Positioned over the Waiaka River, with awe-inspiring panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the towering volcanoes of Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa and Hualalai, the home is in a most ideal location.
Big Island beaches and world-class golf are both just a short 10 minute drive from the home. The property also boasts quiet relaxation areas and a petite soccer field for playing friendly matches of “the beautiful game,” with friends and family. The farmer’s market in the town of Waimea offers and abundance of organic, locally grown farm products for use in preparing fabulous meals at this special, architecturally significant, vacation rental.
About the Frank Lloyd Wright Residence
Built in 1995, the architects worked directly with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation to construct the home, which was originally designed for a family on the East Coast in the 1950s. At over the 3,700 sq. ft. the home is the only example of Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired architecture in Hawaii, and stays true to the architect’s design ethos that combines grand and dramatic architecture with intimate, warm living spaces that reflect organic forms and human scale.
