Hawaii lovers will be seduced by the home’s unique blending of natural themes, including water features, koi ponds, lush vegetation, garden showers, fruit trees and lava rock walls.

The Big Island rental is offered for rent both as a four-bedroom and a five-bedroom villa and can accommodate up to 10 guests in luxurious comfort. Situated on over an acre of exquisitely manicured oceanfront land within the private, gated neighborhood called Pauoa Beach, Honu Pani affords guests absolute exclusivity.

A Blend of Hawaiian and Asian Themes

Honu Pani is a combination of Hawaiian and Hindi, and literally translates to Turtle Water. True to its name, Hawaiian sea turtles can be found swimming just off the shore in front of the home. The blend of South Asian and Hawaiian cultural themes is evident throughout the home, from the incredible woodwork to the decorative details that give the home its unique charm.

Guests enter the home through an exotic Indian door that reflects the peaceful setting at the heart of the property. You are welcomed by the sounds of a waterfall cascading over lava rock and a network of stone walkways meandering over koi ponds and lily pads. Tiki torches add an evocative Hawaiian cultural element to the magical garden setting.

Elegant Hawaiian-Style Indoor-Outdoor Living

Beyond the entry garden, a wall of sliding glass doors can be opened to allow seamless access to the home’s main living area. The spacious living room boasts high ceilings, a large sectional sofa and a dining room table that can seat 10 guests. Sliding glass doors on the ocean-side of the home open to connect with the covered lanai area overlooking the midnight blue tiled infinity-edge pool and the Pacific Ocean just beyond. With both sets of glass doors open, the home has a delightful flow from the front gate to the pool area. Doors may be closed if air conditioning is desired.

The pool allows guests to enjoy a refreshing swim and leisurely hang by its edge to savor the quiet yard and Pacific beyond. Pool heating ensures the water will always be comfortable. The backyard is totally private, and the only sounds are those of birds and the soft rumble of waves lapping the lava rocks on the shoreline. A jacuzzi next to the pool is ideal for afternoon soaks, and lounge chairs allow for complete relaxation, whether you want to soak in the sun or relax in the shade.

At night the outdoor areas of the home, both around the pool and in the entry garden, come alive with tiki torches and fire pots, creating an elegant Hawaiian vibe. A built-in barbecue grill and an outdoor dining table make grilling island fare easy.

The fully equipped spacious kitchen comes with ample counter space, oven, gas stove, and two dishwashers, ensuring ease of cleanup. The home is stocked with all the cutlery, glasses and dishware guests might need, including plasticware for dining outdoors on the lanai and enjoy cocktails poolside.

Backyard and Gate to Ocean Path

Honu Pani has a gorgeous green carpet of a backyard lawn that runs up to the trees that form the blind between home and the ocean.

Guests at Honu Pani have gated access to the beach path that runs along the ocean beyond the home. The path is a wonderful place for a morning walk or an afternoon jog. Walking just five minutes to the right brings guests to the spectacular beach of the Fairmont Orchid hotel. The beach is perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

Plush Bedrooms with En-Suite Bathrooms, Indoor and Outdoor Showers

The home’s five bedrooms are separated from each other to allow for guest privacy.

The master bedroom is located off the living room and is furnished with a king size bed, a massive walk-in closet, a desk for catching up on emails and a sitting area. The spacious bathroom features a jetted tub and indoor walk-in shower. A door connects the bathroom to a private garden area, which has an outdoor shower and mediation/yoga platform with a thatched roof - the perfect space to start a day in paradise. On the ocean side of the bedroom, glass doors open to a sitting area that overlooks the backyard and the ocean just beyond.

The additional four guest rooms are located on the two wings that flank the entry garden and koi ponds at the center of the villa. Three guest rooms are positioned on one side of the garden and the fourth is located opposite.

In terms of bed setup, two guest rooms have queen-size beds, one has a king-size bed, and one has two twin-size beds. Two of the guest rooms also have den areas with pullout sofas, and spacious outdoor sitting areas. All bedrooms come with en-suite bathrooms, walk-in closets, outdoor showers, air-conditioning, ceiling fans and flat-screen televisions.

Theater Room with Comfy Seating

Honu Pani comes with a fabulous theater room that is perfect for screening evening movies. Families and friends can sink into the comfy seats and watch their favorite TVs shows or new releases.

Access to Private Beach Club

A unique perk for guests of Honu Pani is access to the neighborhood’s private beach club. Located a short walk from the home, the Pauoa Beach Club features resort-class exercise and relaxation facilities. There is full gym as well as men and women’s locker, shower and massage areas. Guests can also enjoy a large adult pool with lounge chairs and shade, as well as a kiddie pool for the little ones. The beach club is adjacent to the gorgeous Fairmont Orchid Resort beach, and guests may use the chaise lounges on the beach just below. Also, the kitchen area in the Club may be rented for use for gathering and celebrations.
