Your dreams of staying oceanfront on O’ahu’s North Shore come true at Hale Oka Nunu. When you stay at this 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home located in rural Mokuleia, the clear, aqua ocean is your backyard and with its lapping waves, it beckons you to come out and play. The house itself is its own oasis, and filled with island style decor. From its retro island artwork dispersed throughout, to its nods to the delicious and juicy pineapple that is so synonymous with the islands, you’ll feel the soothing and refreshing feeling of Hawai’i while staying at Hale Oka Nunu.

An updated gourmet kitchen with a large island, granite countertops, and dark wooden cabinets warmly welcomes you into the home. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, which you can easily do while chatting with your friends and family seated at the breakfast bar. The charming ceiling fans in each room keep the rooms cool. The kitchen flows into the open dining room with a comfortable living room that follows, with its oversized sectional and flat screen TV, although the view beyond the large window of the oceanfront room will make you forget entirely about the TV. With a daybed and a plush armchair, which have been perfectly positioned for you to take full advantage of the panoramic ocean view, you’ll be tempted to stare out at the heavenly sight with your favorite beverage and a good book.

From the oceanfront room, the sliding glass doors lead you to a sizable lanai where you’ll find a picnic table, perfect for outdoor dining, as well as a private hot tub. A beautifully maintained lawn and tall palm trees frame the oceanfront, which lays just beyond the property’s rock wall. When you’re not gazing out at the water from the comfort of your lounge chairs, you’ll be spending your time in it, putting the kayaks and paddleboards provided to good use.

The family room of Hale Oka Nunu contains a split air conditioning unit and ceiling fans throughout to ensure your comfort during the warmer days.

The master bedroom boasts a King-size bed and a spacious ensuite with stunning ocean views and beautiful tile floors leading to a soaking tub, granite countertops, and plenty of windows showering the room in natural light.

The first guest bedroom with beautiful ocean views has a Queen-size bed with sliding glass doors to access the lanai and a shared full bathroom, this one consisting of sand-colored tiles and surf decor. The second guest room with a Queen-sized bed shares a spacious Jack and Jill bathroom, complete with a blue tiled shower and turtle artwork. The remaining guest room is perfect for little ones, containing two Twin-sized beds.

Although the Pacific Ocean is only steps away from this amazing home, don’t miss the opportunity to see some of the beaches in the area. Mokuleia Beach Park with its long, sandy beach and shallow reef attracting snorkelers and swimmers is a great option. You will also find the reputable Dillingham Ranch with Polo field and horseback riding. If you venture out a little farther into Haleiwa Town, there are spots where you can devour garlic shrimp, shave ice, and acai bowls. You’re also able to browse the charming surf shops and local boutiques, allowing you to search for those perfect souvenirs.

Hale Oka Nunu’s laid back island style is the reason to come and stay, while its oceanside location and breathtaking vistas will tempt you to never leave. Hale Oka Nunu will turn your dreams into a scintillating reality.

We absolutely loved our visit to Hale Oka Nunu! It looks exactly like the photos and is just so beautiful! It is right on the water and the backyard is like an oasis. We spent almost all of our time outside, enjoying the hot tub, the amazing hammock, and the views. So beautiful! We ate dinner outside on the coolest table, under the amazing tree filled with lights and loved watching the sunset each night. We felt very safe and secure on this property and appreciated the extra touches to make us feel safe. It truly had everything we needed. The beds were super comfy too and as someone who is used to having A/C, I really appreciated the fact that there was an A/C unit in 3 of the 4 bedrooms (just the kid\'s room with 2 twin beds didn\'t). The nearby town had everything we needed including some great restaurants. All in all, it was a great stay and I can\'t wait to go back!

Beautiful home that was completely stocked with everything you would ever need. Communication was great, beds were super comfortable, privacy and security was exceptional. The location is close to local attractions and the view is absolutely breathtaking . The ONLY thing and I mean only thing I wish this house had is a beach but you are able to paddle board and Kayak straight from the front of the property which are provided for you to enjoy. I will definitely recommend this location to others!

Lovely location with a view right out the back, extremely well stocked with everything you need and nothing you don’t. The place was great for our 2 families with toddlers, safe yard with a gate, and thoughtful touches like child protection for the outlets. Great place to hang out, grill fresh fish, and roam around the nearby beaches. Thanks for the great stay!

Our group of 11 stayed at Hale Oka Nunu for a week, and we loved our time here! The home is beautiful and has plenty of space for our group to gather together inside or enjoy the fantastic views outside. Rich was highly responsive to our every question and had the home set up perfectly. We could also get to about everywhere we needed around the island within an hour. Another nice perk of this location is the lack of traffic. We experienced awful traffic in the more touristy spots around the island. The traffic was little to none here, and we were within 10 minutes of Haleiwa, which had plenty of shops and places to eat. We would 100% recommend Hale Oka Nunu!

What an awesome and relaxing place! Just you and the sound of the ocean waves. We’d come back in a heartbeat. We were a group of four but the house could accommodate up to 10 people. We spent hours in the hammock listening to the breeze through the coconut trees. From our yard over the seawall we saw turtles, crabs and an octopus! We’re told in the winter you can see whales. They’ve got a large cook's kitchen, so you can eat at home every meal if you like. After dinner we’d get a glass of wine, turn on the music, get in the hot tub, and look at the stars. Heaven. Large comfy beds provided a great night’s sleep after spending the day snorkeling and exploring Haleiwa. Large picture windows let you take in the incredible ocean view - making you feel like you are spending time in a true vacation getaway. We went for a hike up the 1000-foot mountain right behind the airbase runway (use the west entrance). We biked. We went snorkeling almost every day (Waimea Bay is the best we found - amazing). We did a relaxing sunset sail on a catamaran out of Haleiwa harbor. There’s a beach about a mile west of the house, where we’d go to watch the sunsets and where we got some great pictures. Glorious. Back at the house we grilled, we drank, we r-e-l-a-x-e-d. The house had everything we needed. We loved how at the house you were away from it all, but Haleiwa was just a short ride away. Haleiwa is a tourist town with some fun places to eat, and little shops to wander in and out of. Head to Matsumoto’s for shaved ice, to Jorge’s Tacos for great ahi fish tacos, and to Maya’s Tapas if you’re in the mood for something fancier, North-shore style… How many ways can we say we had a great time? We’d definitely stay here again.

Wow! The stress melted away during our stay at Hale Oka Nunu!! Being on the water and away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki was perfect! Our hosts had numerous suggestions for local attractions, restaurants, hikes, beach access and great places to watch sunsets, if we chose to leave the property. From the back yard, there were plenty of beautiful sunrises and sunsets to be seen. We even took advantage of the hot tub! The house was clean and comfortable with everything that we needed for our stay. I already miss listening to the ocean in the morning with coffee and into the evening with drinks. I’m looking to see when we can plan a trip back there again soon. Mahalo!!
