Designed with an environmental approach by a skillful architect that successfully preserves the beautiful natural and traditional feel, Villa Palm House (PMH) is a bit of a detour of from most of the luxury rental properties on the island. And yet, it’s also in many ways, the quintessential embodiment of St. Barth: colorful and carefree, barefoot and bohemian.

The design is an effortlessly welcoming marriage between tradition and modernity. And not only does Villa Palm House’s laid-back aesthetic capture the spirit of St. Barth; the vacation home is situated right in the heart of the island, at Anse de Lezards. You can hear the crash and smell the aroma of the sea.

“Your feet in the water” was the guiding principle behind the design of Villa Palm House. That’s how relaxed it encourages - and coaxes - you to feel from the moment you arrive. Surrounded by very old lataniers, which bring freshness and intimacy, the villa abounds in let-your-hair-down charm.

In fact, those old latanier palm trees were taken into account during the renovation of the villa, and the landscaped design was motivated by the intention of preserving them. The villa was shaped to unfold seamlessly around them. This villa is a delight for small families or couples who want to focus on the nature that cocoons them. The villa has the traditional Caribbean set-up of separate shingle-sided bungalows, but that classic concept is executed in a way that includes all the modern conveniences. The furnishings are modern but share space in harmony with the existing structure. Natural colors and materials predominate. At the same time, the style and luxury quotients are high.

In its own pavilion, the living area is cozy and inviting, with warm wood ceilings and walls. The adjacent full kitchen has a pass-through to the covered dining area on the terrace beyond. Off of that terrace lie a petite swimming pool and several sun chairs. The bedrooms occupy separate pavilions, with island flourishes with palm tree wallpaper behind the beds, and have ensuite bathrooms.
