The name says it all. The style of villa Style and St. Barth (SAS) is apparent in the luxury property’s playful but chic aesthetic. Traditional Caribbean elements such as high-backed wicker chairs and whitewashed beamed, vaulted ceilings mix with Indonesian flourishes like large paintings of Buddhas and pretty batik borders on the bedding. As for the St. Barth in the villa’s name, the best of the island is close at hand. The lovely rental home is conveniently located a short way up the St. Jean hillside and sited so that it has gorgeous views of the sunrise and sunset. All the rooms have vista of the waters of St. Jean Bay, surrounding hills, stone terraces, and gardens abundant with tropical flowers. It’s only a short drive to the restaurants and shops of Gustavia, the island’s gourmet food markets, and the beaches on the south shore. Even closer is St. Jean: You can walk down to the beach for a refreshing swim, dinner at Eden Rock and its Jean-Georges Vongerichten restaurant, or party brunch at La Plage or Nikki Beach.

Comfortable and stylish, the recently renovated interior has a clean, simple design that makes living here easy and comfortable. For all the fun details, the sea, sky, and nature outside are the focal points. Feathered visitors from a nearby tropical bird sanctuary have been to known to alight, and iguanas and tortoises wander through.

The two master bedrooms, lie on either side of the living area, making for maximum privacy for families traveling with adult children or couples traveling together. (The minimum age here is 12.) One has a king bed, and the other has twins that can be made up as a king. Each has a large ensuite bathroom and opens onto the terrace but has sliding glass doors and screens for versatility and comfort.

The expansive stone terrace provides superb privacy. You can relax in one of the hammocks, swim in the heated infinity-edge pool, or sunbathe on teak chaises. The outdoor shower is kissed by fuchsia bougainvillea and has views over the bay. By night, the terrace becomes an enchanting outdoor dining area, with illuminated gardens accompanied by the sounds of gentle waves in the bay and the breeze in the palms.
