About This Property

An Oceanfront Escape in Kailua-Kona

Welcome to Kona Blue, a spacious private retreat set along the shoreline of the Kona Coast. With over 4,500 square feet of interior living space, this four-bedroom home with additional sleeping areas is designed for relaxed group travel, offering direct ocean access, sweeping Pacific views, and a setting that feels both private and connected to the island’s natural beauty.

Positioned just steps from the water, the home combines modern comfort with open-air living. Multiple lanais, a private pool, and flexible gathering spaces make it well suited for families and groups seeking both shared experiences and personal retreat.

Living Spaces

The main level opens with a bright entry that flows into a generous dining and living area. A table for eight anchors the space, while large windows frame views of the pool and ocean beyond. Neutral tones and comfortable furnishings create an easygoing atmosphere, with natural light and coastal breezes moving throughout.

The layout encourages connection, whether gathering for meals, relaxing after a day outdoors, or simply enjoying the changing light over the Pacific.

Kitchen & Dining

The renovated kitchen is designed for both function and flow. A large center island, professional-grade appliances, and ample prep space make it easy to cook for a group. An adjacent breakfast nook provides a casual spot for coffee or light meals.

Indoor dining transitions seamlessly to outdoor spaces, giving guests the option to enjoy meals inside or under the open sky.

Outdoor Living

Kona Blue’s outdoor areas are centered around its oceanfront pool. Lounge chairs line the deck, while covered lanais offer shaded seating for reading, dining, or quiet conversation.

The grassy lawn extends toward the shoreline, creating space for children to play or for guests to gather at sunset. Multiple seating areas allow for both larger group moments and smaller, more private escapes throughout the day.

Great experience. Beautiful home and grounds. Quiet well maintained neighborhood

Beautiful property, made for a great trip for our family of five. The main asset you don't get from the pictures is the view of the lava-ocean frontage, which is spectacular. A few other things to know. First, kitchen is well stocked with equipment and it made cooking easy. Second, the house is in a gated community where you will need your QR code to enter every single time (unless you're on foot, between 6am-8pm). Finally, the bedrooms and one of the sitting rooms have A/C but the other shared space does not. (We found that we didn't really need it since we were outdoors so much.) House was really stunning, pool was well-maintained, and the location couldn't be beat. Easy access to Kailua Kona restaurants and shops. Thanks for a great stay!

Kona Blue was a great home. It had lots of space and the ocean front view was incredible. I really liked that this is in a gated community too so that made it even better. We only ran into one issue and that was the first night the AC in the area over the garage wasn't working so it made that area unusable as it was 86 degrees in there. I was impressed though that they were able to get a technician out the next day on a Sunday to get it fixed. After that the AC ran great and kept it nice and cool. The outdoor Lanai lights didn't work but we didn't really care as we didn't really spend a lot of time outside at night. The last thing that we were not happy about is that the pictures online show different setups of rooms and different decor than what actually is. The outside Lanai had different seats and no rockers, the grass area outside is made to look a lot bigger than it actually is too, the main hang out room downstairs was setup differently with different furniture, and the several rooms upstairs were also laid out differently with different decor. Some updated photos would be great because our first impression upon arrival wasn't good. Overall it is a great house with lots of room. We would stay here again if we come back, but please get updated photos so everyone who rents this house can see what it actually looks like and not be surprised upon arrival.

My family of 4 along with my sister’s family of 3 and our parents stayed here for 7 days in February. The property was amazing! There was tons of space for us to spread out and great gathering places to come together. When at the house we spent most of our time on the Lanai and playing in the pool. We saw whales out back two of the 7 days. There is a wall along the lava rocks that leads to Keiki beach which is great for kids. The property is very close to downtown Kona and lots of good restaurants. Very convenient to the grocery store and anything else you would need. The community that the property is in is gated so we felt very secure. The kitchen was very well stocked and there was access to tons of amenities like beach chairs, pool toys and even fishing poles! The heated outdoor shower for rinsing after the beach and pool was an added bonus. We had such a great time here we didn’t want to leave. We would absolutely stay here again!
