Mele Kai is a 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom, 3,000 sq. ft. oceanfront villa in Kona boasting breathtaking unobstructed ocean and sunset views from every room. Four sumptuous guest suites with ocean views accommodate ten guests in total comfort. In addition, guests enjoy direct beach access from Mele Kai!
Legendary beach-home architect Glen Bell designed the home. Recently updated, the design is Malibu contemporary beach chic, with modern, clean-lined living spaces designed to maximize views and let in island breezes.
The villa's crisp, bright interior embodies the modern beach home. White walls, light flooring, and architectural details that let in light from walls of windows and vaulted skylights above ensure a cheery space that caresses the senses. Blue and Seafoam accent colors call to mind the sparkling Hawaiian waters just outside the home. Modern furnishings complete the fresh, contemporary vibe.
The entire oceanfront side of the home is defined by modern folding glass doors that open onto lanais furnished with stylish chaise lounges and sitting chairs. Whether dining, cooking, or lying in bed, guests are treated to gorgeous ocean views and spectacular sunsets.
On the mountain or mauka side of the home, walls of folding doors open the living space to a long lava-rock-backed lap pool that offers a private space for fun and relaxation.
The elevated interior design encompasses all aspects of the home, from lighting and sound systems to appliances. For example, the modern chef's kitchen boasts Bertazzoni Appliances, a Nespresso machine – with cupboards well-stocked with world-renown Kona Coffee. A breakfast bar seats four guests for casual dining and socializing with the chef!
The villa is wired for modern sensibilities, with iPad-controlled lighting and Sonos Sound System; cue up mellow tunes for mornings and island beats for cocktail hour with ease. In addition, eight Samsung TVs ensure guests can watch their favorite movies and show with the highest-quality display.
Conveniently located in Kona, you have easy access to cute Kailua-Kona village with its restaurants and services and the resort beaches to the north. Just south of the home, the coastline is dotted with incredible snorkeling spots and less-crowded beaches.
Mele Kai is a fabulous home for family holiday vacations or getaways with friends. The villa is also available for weddings and retreats on a case-by-case basis.
