Alchemist

The newly completed Alchemist (ALC) is a comfortable pied-à-terre in the heart of Gustavia. The urban hideaway is ideal for couples who want to explore the best restaurants, bakeries, boutiques, and nightlife of the main city in St. Barth. Shell Beach is also just a stone’s throw away.

The luxury apartment is part of the Lacour family estate, which includes several uniquely designed suites and apartments around a tropical garden, as well as Sibarth’s company headquarters—and of course, our concierge team is at hand to assist with practical matters or unforgettable surprises all over the island.

Inspired by a painting on the theme of alchemy, which is now on display above the desk, the apartment invites you to embark on a spiritual journey of transformation and discovery. The artwork depicts a dragon circling the earth, a representation of the myth that a dragon was surrounding the planet and that lunar and solar eclipses came out of its mouth.

Alchemist has a European king size colonial bed, frame TV with Apple TV and Netflix, ensuite bathroom with rain head shower, checkered tile floors, antique carpets, and an antique Chesterfield sofa. It is air-conditioned throughout.

The kitchenette has an oven, sink, and small refrigerator. There’s a desk for working and writing. The apartment has art everywhere, and a palette of bold colors, such as yellow, purple, and bordeaux. A special feature is mahogany and oak wardrobe, which was taken from a 1920s luxury ocean liner.

The studio is suited for romantic getaways, but for larger groups, it can be rented together with Botanist (BOS), with which it shares a corridor. Swedish House (SWE), Greenhouse (GEN), making a compound with five bedrooms.
