Luxury Vacation Rentals in Hanalei

Exotic Estates Hanalei vacation rentals range from two to four bedrooms and start at around $600 per night for slower periods. Hanalei is one of the most beautiful places in Hawaii, hence it has been the setting for many movies and TV shows, including The Descendants. If you found that scene in the movie idyllic, you can rent a home on or near Hanalei Bay for your next vacation.

Plenty of Beach & Ocean Activities

Around Hanalei Bay, you will find plenty of fun activities that the entire family can enjoy. For the adventurous types, and if the conditions are right, grab a boogie board or even a surfboard and try your hand on the waves!

Ha'ena State Park -Gateway to the Kalaua Trail

Visitors from all over the world would come to visit the gorgeous northern part of Kauai--not only to visit the charming town of Hanalei or Ha'ena State Park but also to experience the world-renowned Kalalau Trail along the Na Pali Coast, Hanakapi'ai Falls, and Ke'e Beach.

The Kalalau Trail is a paradise for adventurous types and rewarding for sightseers. On this 22-mile roundtrip path weaving through the untamed wilderness of Kauai, you'll encounter an array of vibrant flora and fauna— including exotic orchids, majestic banyan trees, and bird species found exclusively in the Hawaiian Islands.

Anyone renting a vacation home on Kauai or staying at one of the resorts up north may wish to visit this beautiful place. However, it's important that you plan accordingly and follow the guidelines outlined by the State. You can read our detailed article on requirments and preparation for accessing the park and the Kalalau Trail.

Restaurants & Stores for Stocking

In the early hours of the day, the town is still sleepy, but it's the perfect time to catch the morning rain clouds and enjoy a nice warm brew. The Hanalei Bread Company opens bright and early at 7 a.m. and serves freshly brewed coffee, home-baked bread, and delicious locally sourced juices. My favorite was the green goddess.

For stocking and prepared items, we love the Hanalei Harvest Market, but you will also find a more conventional grocery store just across the street.

Also on the beach side of the strip, there is a small mall with restaurants, and you will also find a few local fast-food shops. When it's time for lunch, there is a unique shop for every taste. Around the corner is a collection of local food trucks that is sure to please any palate!

Unveiling the wonders of the Kalalau Trail is a rewarding and intense experience, and hikers must follow the rules.

Spas in Hanalei

When you are in such a beautiful place, wellness naturally comes to mind. Hanalei has several places to indulge in spa services, including smaller, single-operator massage CMTs and proper spas such as Saltay Hanalei Bay and the Hanalei Day Spa. These businesses often offer beachfront massages and private massages at your vacation home.

Also, nearby Princeville has several major resorts that offer spa services.

Perfect location for walking to the beach or town.
This is a dream property. Perfect location for walking to the beach or town. Everything you need ( beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, games, bikes) for an active holiday. The home is charming and pristine clean. Great screens on all windows and sliders to enjoy the constant breeze. Great linens and fantastic five star towels both beach and bath, great BBQ, great lanai... it doesn’t get much better. Property management is very helpful and responsive. Dream vacation!

We liked being able to walk to the beach...
We really enjoyed our 2 weeks in this is very well maintained and well-appointed for beach items/bikes/ping pong table, etc. We liked being able to walk to the beach and into town for dinner. The only thing you have to get used to is the traffic. It is on the road to the pier, so if surf's up, traffic is up. However, the property has a beautiful garden and it is relatively private from the road so it's just a head's up if that sort of thing bothers you.

Short walk into town (2-3 min) and to the beach (5-10 min)!
Our family (10 adults, 1 toddler) had a wonderful stay at Hanalei Ohana!! The house is well appointed, with private bathrooms in most rooms and a well-stocked kitchen. Great location - short walk into town (2-3 min) and to the beach (5-10 min)! We made great use of the beach gear in the garage (chairs, boards, coolers, etc.)! Views of the mountains from the bedrooms and porches are lovely. And there's a magical outdoor shower. Overall wonderful stay, we will be back
